An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the United Kingdom on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the aircraft's cockpit window, per an official statement which stated that all passengers were secure.
"The jet touched down following established safety measures and all passengers, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," an official representative said in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to the Belgian capital during the flight.
This event is not the initial instance that a United States armed forces jet ferrying a high-ranking official has experienced equipment failures.
