Trump's Granddaughter Receives Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Prior to LPGA Debut

Emerging athlete preparing for significant tournament

The rising star boasts impressive social media presence

The young golfer can count on numerous prominent cheerleaders as she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika tournament in Florida.

Her grandfather, a passionate golfer, operates multiple international courses and often competes against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I shouldn't elaborate but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

Kai explained that Trump, who cannot attend, advised her: "Simply don't get nervous."

"My grandpa practically told me to play and have fun," she continued.

"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He won't be there for the tournament. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's rather occupied."

While still amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments recently and holds position 461 in AJGA standings.

Yet she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with her mother.

"He represents the best player in the world," Kai expressed.

"And he's a superior individual. He told me to play, have fun, and go with the flow."

She'll challenge several the biggest names in professional golf at this tournament, featuring second-ranked the champion, England's golfer Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.

Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai brings the sport to new audiences, especially reaching youth audiences.

Kai maintains substantial online presence and has started an exclusive apparel and wellness brand.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
